Who We Are
The New York Grey Cadets is a J.R.O.T.C. like non-profit youth delinquency prevention program dedicated to supporting and developing young leaders for excellence in discipline, integrity, resilience, and responsible leadership both in and beyond their communities.
Founded in 1997, the (N.Y.G.C) strives on empowering New York City youth to build the foundation of their professional futures.
Our History
The Legionnaire Greys Cadets Inc., started as a Boy Scouts of America chartered unit on 09/02/1997, and was incorporated on 02/08/2000. Its original members included Maria Soto, Brendaly Figueroa and Dave Laguer, in which Bryan Lamboy designed the artwork for the corporation unit patch.
Other original members included Mario Alicea, Luis Claudio and Celeste Sanabria. All names mentioned above arise from the original Washington Greys Cadets Incorporated on 06/11/1957, and stationed at the historical Kingsbridge Armory, in the Bronx, NY. On 10/06/2209, the corporation assumed the name D.B.A. (Doing Business As) The New York Grey Cadets. At this time our unit patch name was redesigned to include our assumed name.
